16 Oct 2010I will be speaking at a discussion of Capitalism after the crash: the rise and fall of neo-liberalism at the ICA in London at 6.45pm on 28 October. The other panelists will be Paul Mason of BBC Newsnight, Jeremy Gilbert of the University of East London, Tony Greenham from the New Economic Foundation and Aditya Chakrabortty, an economics leader writer for the Guardian.
I hope I will get a chance to explain why “neo-liberalism” (free market capitalism) is a zombie category. It does not exist in reality, and is weak as an ideology, yet it somehow goes on living.
